Realm of Kings, Son of Hulk #1. Where Hiro-Kala finds out he's not such a big man after all!

Son of Hulk, son of Hulk... To be brutally honest I have never really known what was going on in this book, after Skaar went to Earth I mean, it had this Old Strong kid that was a bit batshit in it, he claimed to be the Son of Hulk and then random things like Galactus and other things happened. "Son of Hulk", I always thought that was either metaphorically as in; "I am his son in that non-literal way, because he shaped us all by doing... stuff, so technically we could ALL call ourselves Son of Hulk, but only I am doing it because it would freak out these old people to call themselves Son of Hulk (especially the grannies)".  Or that it was like "Incredible Hercules" after Hulk left Earth, without the change of title-name, I never read any substantial origin story for this kid, as I did with Skaar, there wasn't even any mention of this kid in the "What If WWH?", but apparently he thinks he is the Son of Hulk, for reals I mean. This is a bit mysterious, so I checked the arbiter of reality, Wiki-Pedia, sure enough he is listed as "Son of Hulk", as in biological offspring of Caiera and Hulk, in his own entry but if you go to the Hulk entry there is not even a mention of him but there is of Skaar and on Skaars Wiki-Pedia entry there is no mention of Hiro-Kala either. So is he really the Son of Hulk? I am actually asking, someone please tell me. This isn't the first time I have tried to get a straight answer about this question.

So what the hell is going on in this book? I haven't got a clue about what's happening in the regular one, but in this very special Realm of Kings episode of "Son of Hulk" is in the Microverse for some randomly odd reason. Then out of nowhere; Micronauts, seeing as we are in the Microverse, it was just a matter of time. I've never been a fan of the Microverse, it strains my suspension of disbelief to the breaking point and keeps on pushing. So why did I read this book then? I just looked at the cover and thought "oooh shiny" and decided to review it, not realizing what I had done. I kinda regret it now, because there was no way I would be able to enjoy this book completely, whereas someone who has no problem with shrinkage (he he he) or characters based on some inane toys would probably give this book a score way better than I ever would. I have no idea who or what a Micronaut is, I just know it has something to do with the awesome power of being teeny-tiny.

The art is good though, no complaints there. Got this light Kirbyesque vibe from it and for me it is the books strong point.

So in summation, the book is about the "Son" of Hulk, who is suffering from cosmic shrinkage, on a planet his "father" once was king, in the Microverse, and the Micronauts will be making an appearance. If that sounds like something you would enjoy, go for it! You will probably get a hell of a lot more out of it than I ever could.

Good Points - Good foreboding, reminded me a bit of Dune and the God Emperor.
- The art is good enough for me to give it four stars.
Bad Points - Microwhatevers.
- Can someone please tell me if this is the real Son of Hulk, or if the whole "Son of " was just a mindfart someone had?

I believe that this is the son of Hulk and Jarella. Jarella was the gree-skinned beauty who was Queen of a world in the microverse. See "Hulk: Heart of the Atom"

So wait, there is more than one Son of Hulk? Wasn't Skaar at one point supposed to be the only one?

Uh.... I think I've missed something. I was talking about "Hiro-Kala", the Old-Strong-Slave-Turned-Derp in "Son of Hulk", you know the one who looks like one of those people, not a double-green Micro-resident. Gah, headache.
